Ian graduated from Queensland University in 1976.
He began his veterinary career in a small animal practice in Western Australia. Three years later he returned to Queensland and for the next 4 years worked in various mixed animal practices in SEQ, including a year in Kingaroy.
In 1985 he moved into his own sole practice. In 1986 the practice moved into bigger premises, and then in 2002 made a final move (and a name change) into its current purpose built premises as Compton Rd Veterinary Surgery.
Ian enjoys spending his spare time with his talented large family. Basketball and Health is the families passion, be it playing or coaching and it has paid off with one of his son’s huge achievement of being named to play in the Australian Olympic team “The Boomers” Of course Ian attended proudly to cheer on his son.
Ian owns two playful Border Collies, Pippa & Loki, and also looks after his daughters dogs occasionally, which makes a real doggy daycare environment at home.
